PreK Registration Information
Your child must reside within the Wilson CSD boundaries and must be 4 years old on or before December 1 of the current year to be eligible for registration. A child who is eligible to attend kindergarten is not eligible for the UPK program. Your child is only eligible to attend UPK the year they turn four prior to December 1st.
The district offers full-day UPK classes at Wilson Elementary School and at Learn & Play UPK at Jill's Play Yard in Ransomville, NY. Each class will have up to 18 students.
The district does not have a first-come, first-serve list and application and registration are accepted on a rolling basis. Your application and registration to the UPK program does not signify your child’s acceptance into the program. We use a lottery process to determine acceptance to a UPK location or wait list. All applications that have been completed (with all supporting documents) by the registration deadline will be included in the lottery.
The district uses a lottery procedure, in which names are drawn randomly, to determine acceptance to a UPK location or the wait list. The lottery will be held on a scheduled date after the registration deadline. Parents will be notified of the lottery results (UPK location or waitlist) by mail after the drawing, on or around May 1, or each school year. We cannot provide lottery results by phone, fax or in person. Classroom assignments are mailed to families in August.
To ensure your child's spot in the UPK lottery, please download, print, complete, and turn in the packet below to Wilson Elementary School Mondays - Fridays from 9:15am - 2:00pm. If you are unable to print the document, you may pick a packet up at Wilson Elementary School, or call the main office at 716 - 751 - 9341 X 117 to arrange having it mailed to your address.
Kindergarten Registration
All families who live within the Wilson Central School District boundaries with a child who turns five on or before December 1 of the current school year are eligible to register their child for Kindergarten.
To complete registration, please download, print, complete, and turn in the packet below to Wilson Elementary School Mondays-Fridays from 9:15am - 2:00pm. If you are unable to print the document, you may pick a packet up at Wilson Elementary School, or call the main office at 716-751- 341 X 133 to arrange having it mailed to your address.
